Vasiliev Vladimir
Painter, graphic artist, sculptor, set designer. He worked as an easel and monumental.
Born in 1895 in Moscow.
From 1910-1918 – studied in Moscow at the Stroganov School of Industrial Art. Mentors: Alexander Baryshnikov, Stanislav Noakovsky.
From 1919-1925 – studied in the first government of free art workshops – Higher Art. Mentors: Petro Konchalovsky and Alexander Osmyorkin.
In 1925 became one of the founding members of the Society of Artists. .
Since 1932 – was a member of the Moscow Union of Artists.
Participated in the First State traveling exhibition of paintings (1925, Moscow, Saratov, Stalingrad, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod), Exhibition monumental pictorial panels in Moscow (1932) and others.
In the 1930’s worked extensively as a book illustrator.
The artist’s works are kept in the Art Museums and private collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery.
He died in 1967 in Moscow.
