Modorov Fedor
Born in 1890 in Mstera, Russian Soviet Federative Socialistic Republic.
1906 – as an auditor entered the Moscow School of painting, than in Kazan Art School.
Entered St.Petersburg Academy of Arts. V.Makovskiy’s studio.
1923 – the head of the Art department of the First All-Russian agricultural exhibition in Moscow.
From 1924 – particpant of Russian exhibitions.
1948 – 1962 – the head of Moscow State Art Institute named after V.Surikov. Professor.
1953 – member-correspondent of the Academy of Arts of USSR.
1965 – People’s artist of Russian Soviet Federative Socialistic Republic.
Worked in genres: industrial landscape, historical and revolutionary themes, and rural life.
Artist’s works are in museum and private collections all over the world.
