Painter, graphic artist.
In 1901-1904 he studied at the Kiev Art School in Pimonenko’s and Seleznev’s studio;
in 1904-1905 – at the Aschbe and Grabar School in Munich.
In 1905 he entered the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture , studied under the guidance of Marr and Wagner.
He graduated from the course in 1908.
In Vilen studied drawing (1912). Until 1921 he lived in St. Petersburg, then – in Moscow.
The works are in several museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery.
Born in 1923 in Dmitrievo, Russia.
From 1948-1951 – studied at the Kharkiv Art School. Mentors: Lev Fitilev and Nikolay Slipchenko.
He worked as an artist in the Kharkiv regional association of artists.
Since 1958 the artist participates in republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions.
Since 1983 – was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
The artist’s works are kept in the Art Museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
He died in 2001 in Kharkiv.
Ukrainian artist of the Odessa avant-garde, art critic. Author of numerous works on the history of art in Odessa at the end of the 20th century. He owns the definition of “Second Odessa avant-garde” (artists of 1980-2000).

Since 1972 – was a member of republican, all-Union, international, foreign art exhibitions.
Since 1974 – was a member of the Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
Since 1990 – was a member of the National Union of Artists.
Since 1991 – he worked in Kharkov State Academy of Municipal Economy, Associate Professor.
The artist’s works are kept in the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the National Museum of the city of Yeysk (Russian).

From 1910-1918 – studied in Moscow at the Stroganov School of Industrial Art. Mentors: Alexander Baryshnikov, Stanislav Noakovsky.

In 1925 became one of the founding members of the Society of Artists. .
Since 1932 – was a member of the Moscow Union of Artists.
Participated in the First State traveling exhibition of paintings (1925, Moscow, Saratov, Stalingrad, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod), Exhibition monumental pictorial panels in Moscow (1932) and others.
In the 1930’s worked extensively as a book illustrator.
The artist’s works are kept in the Art Museums and private collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery.
