Lyubavin Yuri
Soviet Ukrainian painter. The author of still lifes, landscapes, genre works.
Born in 1923 in Kharkov.
From 1940-1950 – he studied at the art studio at the Kharkov Factory of Artistic Products, where his teachers were Sergy Besedin and Leonid Chernov.
Since 1957 the artist participates in regional, republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions.
Since 1960 – was member of the Kharkov organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
The artist’s works are kept in the Art Museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
He died in 2000 in Kharkov.
Нertz Yuri
Soviet Ukrainian painter. A follower of the “Manail” tradition of spirituality and nationality in painting. Master of multi-figure genre compositions, natural and urban landscapes. A painter of folk beliefs, rites, customs and everyday life of the Carpathian land.
Born in 1931 in the village Lokhov (now Transcarpathian region, Ukraine).
From 1947-1955 he graduated from the picturesque department of the Uzhgorod School of Applied Arts. Teachers in the specialty – Joseph Bokshay, Adalbert Erdeli, Fedor Manaylo.
Since 1957 – was participant of regional, since 1967 – All-Ukrainian, since 1978 – international art exhibitions.
Since 1969 – was a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Since 1990 – was Honored Artist of Ukraine.
Laureate of the National Prize of Ukraine named after T. Shevchenko for 1994.
In 2003 – was awarded the title – People’s Artist of Ukraine.
The artist’s works are kept in the Art Museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
He died in 2012 in Uzhhorod.
Konovalyuk Fedor
Painter, graphic artist.
Born in 1890 in the village Kalinovka Podolia province.
From 1903-1909 – he received original artistic skills in the icon-painting workshop of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
In the early to mid-1900s, under the direction of Ivan Izhakevich, he participated in the painting of the churches of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and in Ekaterinoslavle.
Studied at Kiev Art School (1911-1915) at Vladimir Menka, Alexander Murashko, the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at IAH in St. Petersburg (1915-1917) by Vladimir Makovsky, Kiev Art Institute (1925-1927) y Fedor Krichevsky.
Since 1918 – was participated in exhibitions of the Association of Artists of Kiev.
In 1927, 1928 – was participated in exhibitions of the Association of Artists of Ukraine Chervonnaya. Has exhibited his works in group exhibition “In the villages, small towns and cities of Ukraine” (1926) in Kiev, the Ukrainian mobile commemorative exhibition marking the 10 anniversary of the October (1927) 1 st traveling exhibition on the right-bank Ukraine (1929) in Romny (Poltava region ) and others.
He died in 1984 in Kiev.
Memorial Museum of Konovalyuk opened in Kiev.
Plamenitsky Anatoly
Soviet Ukrainian painter and teacher. He worked in the field of easel painting, turned to the genre of the historical painting, the master of the landscape.
Born in 1920 in the village Yagodnoe, now Grachevsky district, Orenburg region of Russia. From 1939-1940 he studied at the Baku Art College.
In 1953 he graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute. He studied under Mikhail Sharonov, M. Ivanov, Konstantin Yeleva and Ilya Shtilman, and from the fourth year in the workshop of Aleksey Shovkunenko, where the assistants were Tatyana Yablonskaya and Victor Puzyrkov. Since 1954 – was participant of city, republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions.
Since 1963 – was senior lecturer, and since 1977 – professor of the painting department of the Kiev State Art Institute.
Since 1964 – was Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1976 he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of the USSR.
He died in 1982 in Kiev.

Magro Petro
Ukrainian graphic artist, painter. The artist’s graphic series glorified the industrial and grain-producing region.
Born in 1918 in Ekaterinoslav province (now Dnepr), Ukraine.
In 1940 – was studied at the Dnepropetrovsk Art College.
Since 1948 he was the beginning of exhibition activities. Participated in numerous art exhibitions (in London, at the European Academy of Arts, in Edinburgh), including solo ones in 1968, 1969, 1978, 1981.
In 1964 – was accepted into the Union of USSR Artists.
He headed the board of the fund of the Union of Artists. He was the chairman of the artistic council of the regional branch of the Union of Artists of Ukraine and a delegate of two all-Union congresses of artists.
In 1996 – was received the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.
In 2004 – was received the title of the People’s Artist of Ukraine.
The artist’s works are kept in the Art Museums: Dnepr, Donetsk, Luhansk, Krivoy Rog; in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
He died in 2010 in Dnepr.
