Ermolov Igor

1941 – 2007

Born in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region in 1941.

He graduated  from Dnepropetrovsk Art College in 1962.

Since 1967, he had started the exhibition activity . He actively participated in various regional, republican and all-union exhibitions.

Since 1989, Yermolov was a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine

Zhugan Vladimir

1926 – 2008
Born in 1926 in village Lihovka Dnipropetrovsk region.
He studied at the Art School Dnepropetrovsk at  Panin’s and Pogrebnyak’s studio (1946 – 1951).

He has begun  exhibiting  his  works of art  since 1949.
Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1964. Honored Artist of Ukraine.

His works are in art museums of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kamenets-Podolskiy, and numerous private collections.
He lived and worked in Dneprodzerzhinsk.

Dzyubenko Vladimir

Born in 1942 in the village Chervonoarmejsk, Zhytomyr region.

Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, member of the National Artists Association,

winner of the All-Ukrainian Award named after Ivan Ogienko.

Since 1988, he had a number of solo exhibitions in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Rivne, Lviv, Chervonoarmejsk, Zhitomir.

His works are in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

Kotska Andrey

1911 – 1987

Born in 1911 in Uzhgorod, Zakarpattia region.

In 1931 graduated from a public drawing school in Uzhgorod.

In 1942 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (Italy) at the department of monumental painting.

Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1946

Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1971.

People’s Artist of Ukraine since 1982.

 

Dontsov German

1916-2001

Born in 1916 in Saratov. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1960.

He graduated from the Astrakhan Art School in 1939, studied at the department of painting of the Kharkov Art Institute. After the war, in 1946 he joined the Latvian State Academy of Arts and in 1949 he graduated from the studio of  Liepiņš with diploma work “Seeing the enemy.” He worked as a teacher in the 7th art vocational school.

Participated in exhibitions since 1939. Solo exhibitions were held in Riga (1967), Jurmala (1973).

German Dontsov was one of the most active members of the “Latvian artists – participants of the Great Patriotic War”, he took part in all the exhibitions of the group. In 1960, Dontsov was admitted to the Union of Artists of the Latvian SSR. His personal exhibitions were held in Riga (1967) and Jurmala (1973). The works were exhibited in many republican, all-union and international exhibitions – in Chile (1965), USA (1966), Great Britain (1967), France (1968), Germany (1972), Japan (1970, 1973), Finland (1972), Switzerland (1973).

In the first period he wrote primarily industrial landscapes with elements of figural compositions, where human figures had independent meaning. Gradually the landscape of his work displaces all other genres, and the role of the human figure or figures in the picture is reduced to staffage. Works of this period are different sonority and color expressive.

Bondarenko Nikolay

1914 – 2000
Born in 1914 in village Kartushino, Luhansk region.
In 1931 – 1934 he studied at the Kiev Art Institute, in 1939 – 1941 years – the Odessa Art School named after Grekov.
Since 1946 he lived and worked in the city of Kirovograd. From 1948 to 1951 – the member of Kirovograd Society of Artists.
Member of regional, republican and all-union exhibitions.
Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1980.
Author of landscapes, portraits and thematic paintings.
His works are represented in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

Pilko David

His works are scattered all over the world, he did not sell them, and gave to friends, acquaintances, relatives. Many of the paintings, thus were in different parts of the world: Israel, USA, Germany, Australia and Ukraine. But a major collection of his son, Alexander, is also an artist and photographer, managed to save, they are not sold, and is a family value.

Pictures of David Pilko fascinate, captivate at once, impossible to put down, do not look at each item. They have everything they breathe.

Born in 1926 in Ukraine. On the eve of war, the young David went to Kiev and entered the trade school. The war began. At the school in the first few days he was evacuated to the Urals, in the city of Kurgan, where until the end of the war he worked in a munitions factory. After the war, he returned to Kiev, found out that the entire family was shot in one day in the beginning of the war. None of the photos, no letters, no document is left.

A gifted young man begins to visit art studios, goes on studies, he writes plays. Meets Dora Boltyanskaya, marries her, gave birth to a boy, Alexander.

Alexander Pilko: “Gradually, my father’s painting became more and more professional. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, he wrote from morning till night all that came to hand – that oil and gouache, and watercolor … Then my mother started to hurt, and went to the other world in 2002. Since then, his father has ceased to care about both art and life itself … “.

The last years of his life the artist lived with his son in St. Petersburg.

Prokopenko Nikolay

Odessa artist – painter, graphic artist, book illustrator illustrator.

Born in 1945, member of the National Union of Artists and the National Union of theatrical figures of Ukraine.

Honored Artist of Ukraine.

1964-1971 – studied at the Odessa State Art School.

1971-1977 – studied at the Kiev Academy of Arts.

Participant of international, national and regional exhibitions, as well as a number of international biennials.

Savenkov Viktor

1919 – 2004

Born in 1919 in Baranovo, Orel region.

He studied at the Kharkov Art Institute.

As a member of the studio of military artists named after Grekov he  participated in the development of many large-scale projects, dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.

Participated in national and international exhibitions since 1951.

Member of the Union of Artists since 1953.

His works are in Moscow – in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War and the Central Museum of the Armed Forces, Kharkov ,  Alupka Palace Museum, as well as in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
